KTTC: Trees being downed in rookery leaves “Save The Rookery” frustrated

ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) – Sunday, reports from “Save the Rookery” showed that approximately 18-20 trees were chopped in the only Great Blue Heron rookery in Olmsted County.

Many of those trees contained nests for the herons, who have yet to return to the rookery this spring.
