No More Habitat Destruction!

The Rochester Township is meeting Thursday, August 11, 7PM at Rochester Township Hall, to decide on the permitting of Pavilion Estates’ disastrous Pre-Plat.

In June, the Rochester Township Zoning and Planning Commission voted to recommend the DENIAL of the Pre-Plat. In July, the Township Board decided to delay their decision on the Pre-Plat in the setting of ongoing litigation. Will the Township Board of Commissioners listen to their own committee and the hundreds of residents who want slower growth and planning to preserve the few natural habitats we have left?

Please attend the meeting in solidarity with Save the Rookery! There is no public comment period at this meeting, but our presence shows the Township Board that we are paying attention!

We have MANY VALID reasons - even beyond preserving the rookery - why this development should never be approved. Please read THE BIG PICTURE and understand our stance leading up to the vote tomorrow night.

Documents related to Pavilion Estates - a.k.a. Pavilion Mistakes - are posted here.

We need your help to keep fighting for preserving what makes Rochester a special and healthy place to live !
