More trees felled at heron nest site after judge denies restraining order request

The cutting comes after District Court Judge Pamela King denies a request for a restraining order for development work at a great blue heron nest site.

ROCHESTER — More trees were cut down at a planned development site that houses a great blue heron rookery.

Olson Tree Service was on site north of Boulder Creek Drive SW Tuesday cutting down trees where a proposed development is still pending approval amid legal challenges.
