Primary Elections August 9

As we’ve learned through this process, local government has a lot of power when it comes to local land use decisions. Due to redistricting this year, ALL of the Olmsted County Commissioner seats are up for election. Let’s make sure we elect representatives who will actually LISTEN to the citizens!

Mark your calendar - the primary election is August 9, and the general election is November 8.

You can use the Minnesota Secretary of State website to look up your address and see who is running in your district and view your sample ballot. The Secretary of State website also has links to each candidate’s website (if they have a website). Commissioner Districts 4 and 5 have primary elections on August 9. Read about early and absentee voting options in the Post Bulletin here.
