Join us at Rochesterfest Parade! Sat, June 25
“Save the Rookery” will be participating in the Rochesterfest parade on Saturday, June 25!
We will be marching and riding in the parade in and alongside our Great Blue Heron truck! (photo below)
Staging time is noon-1:30, parade starts at 2pm on June 25, downtown Rochester. See map below - staging areas are along the blue line.

Parade Unit Name: Save the Rookery
Parade Unit Number: 18
Rochesterfest Grand Parade will begin at 2:00PM on Saturday, June 25.
Staging Time: 12:00 PM - 1:30PM -- Your unit must arrive at your staging area by 1:30PM or you risk losing your opportunity to participate in the parade.
Entering the Staging Area: Enter from the Hwy 52 Frontage Road (14th Avenue SW) on to 11the Street SW. You may enter from the north or south on the frontage road.
At the Staging Area: Park at the sign with your unit numberArrange for your parade unit participants to be dropped off and walk to the parade unit staging areas. Drop off point is Memorial Parkway and 8th Avenue SW. Please share this information with your parade unit participants. The Rochester Police Department will begin closing parade route roads at 1:00 PM. All Parade Route Roads will be Closed by 1:15PM. Parade begins at 2:00PM
Parade duration: estimated 90 minutes
There are approximately 80 units in the parade.
There will be portable toilets and garbage cans placed throughout the staging areas and parade route.
