Rochester Township Election

There was unprecedented interest in this year’s Rochester Township Board of Supervisors election for Seat 2. Township residents have become more aware of the role of local government, including the Rochester Township Board of Supervisors, in land use decisions. Two candidates explicitly expressed interest in preserving our local natural areas including our special great blue heron rookery, both to Save The Rookery and to the Post Bulletin.

In a 3-way race, candidate Nathan Clarke won the election with 85% of the vote. Brian Mueller received 8% of the vote and Nathan Smischney received 3%. Clarke thanked incumbent Brian Mueller, who held the position for 18 years.
