VOTE March 5 or 8 - Rochester Township Board

As many of us have realized during this journey, local government makes important decisions about land use. Elected officials may or may not listen to the citizens’ concerns about particular issues, but we DO have a say when we vote for candidates! The next local election that affects us all - including the rookery - is coming up in early March, a seat on the Rochester Township Board of Supervisors.

As a nonprofit organization, Save The Rookery does not endorse a particular candidate. However, we encourage rookery supporters to contact the candidates and ask for their views on this issue and other issues of importance to Township residents.

The next Township election is 5PM-8PM, Tuesday, March 8, with early (absentee in person) voting available at 10AM-noon, Saturday, March 5. An absentee ballot may be obtained by calling 507-282-6488 or emailing the clerk at rochestertownshipclerk@gmail.com.

The three candidates are:

Nathan Clarke. Here is his contact information.

Brian Muller (incumbent). Here is his contact information.

Nathan Smischney. Here is the information available about him on the township website. Here is his Mayo webpage.
